Vote Safely, Vote Early, Vote from Home, says Huw Irranca-Davies MS
In light of the ongoing Coronavirus situation, local authorities throughout Wales are encouraging people who are eligible to vote to register for a postal vote. For many people, a postal vote is an easy and convenient way of voting, especially if you do not want to visit a polling station or might struggle to get there on the day.
With the possibility of Coronavirus still posing a threat to our normal way of life for some time to come, the option of a postal vote is likely to apply to more and more people. As your local Member for the Senedd, I would encourage you to consider registering for a postal vote to guarantee that you are still able to have your say in future elections for the Senedd, Westminster and local council elections.
You can apply to vote by post for a single election, a specific period of time or permanently, and your ballot paper will be posted to you about a week before election day. You can also contact the electoral services at:
Bridgend Council: 01656 643116
RCT Council: 01443 490100
Online applications can also be made via: https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/i-am-a/voter/voting-person-post-or-proxy/voting-post
