STOP MEN DYING TOO YOUNG – HUW SUPPORTS MOVEMBER
Huw is sprouting facial hair at the moment in support of Movember to raise awareness and funds for research into prostate cancer.
The Movember Foundation is a global men’s health charity which raises funds to deliver innovative, breakthrough research that enables men to live happier, healthier and longer lives. Millions have joined the movement raising over £440m and funding over 1,200 projects focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer and suicide prevention. The foundation encourages men to stay healthy in all areas of their lives with a focus on becoming more open to discussing their health and significant moments in their lives.
Huw encourages people to get involved with the campaign and said, “We all know people who have been affected with prostate cancer, but it is a condition that even today many are reluctant to talk about. I’m happy to play my part by growing facial hair to hopefully raise awareness of prostate cancer and any support will be greatly appreciated, whether it be a financial donation or if people could simply tweet/facebook my link below. I’d be hugely grateful”.
The current state of men’s health is in crisis. Too many men are dying too young; on average four years younger than women. For men this isn’t good news. We need to talk about it. We need to act.
