Reduce the Employment Gap for Disabled People!
Huw & Chris Elmore MP, in support of Remploy’s Campaign to help more disabled people into work, urge businesses to consider those with disabilities when recruiting staff.
During a visit to Bridgend Remploy, Huw and Chris met with workers and staff who provided a tour of their offices and highlighted the gap in employment figures for people with disabilities. Huw, who was impressed with the progress the company was making said “It was fantastic to meet enthusiastic and talented people who – with the help of Remploy – were getting the support they needed to get into work. I would urge all local employers to work with Remploy and provide job opportunities for those with a disability who have much to offer”.
Ogmore MP Chris Elmore commented “Remploy has a rich history in helping those with disabilities, opening its first factory in Bridgend. I fully support their campaign to reduce the employment gap between those with disabilities and without. The work they’ve done already has found 17,000 jobs in Wales for people with disabilities.”
