June 13th: 'warm up'
Did a lovely warm-up walk (it was so warm!) today for the ProstateCymru Big Walk, with a 17m stretch over hill and Dale from Maesteg to Creunant.
South Wales valleys are gorgeous by the way!
If you're interested, here's a link to the route we took which was just beautiful.
SUPPORTING TEAM CAROL VORDERMAN!
I'm walking as part of Vorder's team, helping raise funds for Prostate Cymru and to #helpsavethemalesinwales
We'll be walking 26 miles in July from the Millenium Stadium to Pyle RFC, and we'd love if you could sponsor us, or do it yourself!
Some are walking a few miles each day to get to the grand total.
And here's some photos from our training walk today. Wow it was hot!
See if you can spot the one with Swansea Bay and the Mumbles in the distance, and another (trickier) with Pen y Fan and Cribyn.
Yesterday I did a lovely leg of the ProstateCymru along the South Wales Coast as part of Team Carol Vorderman.
I began early meeting a group of intrepid (young) walkers at the Principality Stadium who were walking to Kenfig Hill RFC!
I went in the other direction through the city to the coast, round Penarth and Sully and on to Barrybados, seeing parts of the coast I've not seen before.
Here are some of the images from the walk along this stretch of the coast, in case it entices you to have a look at some time.
