NHS Bursary To Remain for Our Student Nurses in Wales

The recent announcement by the Welsh Labour Government that Wales is to keep the bursary for student nurses has been welcomed by Huw Irranca-Davies AM.

In contrast to England where the bursary will end shortly, here in Wales, those starting their training in September 2017 who choose to study an eligible health related programme, will still be able to access this much needed funding.

Huw stated: “this is great news for anyone in Wales who wants to train as a nurse and who is willing to commit to working in Wales for at least 2 years after qualifying.

It shows the commitment of the Welsh Labour Government to investing in the future of our Welsh NHS and that they are listening to the voices of students and residents across Wales.
