New Patron for Wales’ “One-of-a-kind” Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre in Llanharan

Huw Irranca-Davies, Member of the Senedd for Ogmore has taken over from former AM Janice Gregory as the new Patron of Llanharan’s life-changing Brynawel Residential Rehabilitation Centre.

Huw describes Brynawel Rehab as “a unique and life-transforming place”. It is the only residential centre of its kind in Wales, using evidence-based therapies to significantly reduce the likelihood of drug or alcohol

dependency, and helping people start the road to recovery.

The personalised style of programmes provided allow clients to access high-quality professional support, including one-on-one support and group counselling sessions. Round-the-clock care and support are provided too, and the unique residential facility offers a safe environment where clients can discuss their problems openly, and ultimately find solutions.

As a long standing supporter of Brynawel Rehab, Ogmore MS Huw Irranca-Davies said: “This ground-breaking centre of excellence and their dedicated team have helped turn many lives around, supporting residents to change their mind set and conquer their dependencies.

I’m looking forward to stepping into the big shoes left by Janice Gregory as Patron, and working with the trustees, staff and clients to see Brynawel House change many more lives for the better in the years ahead.”
