Ogmore MP Huw Irranca-Davies is encouraging everyone in his constituency and the rest of Wales to join in with Keep Wales Tidy’s Tidy Tea Break taking place on St David’s Day.
Offices, schools, volunteer groups and individuals can all take part and sell cakes and tea, the proceeds of which will go towards helping Keep Wales Tidy with their green-thinking work with schools and communities across Wales. The Tidy Tea Break is an opportunity for everyone to help raise money to support the work of Keep Wales Tidy while enjoying a well deserved tea and cake.
Since 1972 Keep Wales Tidy has been tackling issues such as littering, fly-tipping, graffiti, fly-posting and vandalism. The organisation also promotes sustainable development, community food growing, access improvements, conservation work and biodiversity.
“For over forty years Keep Wales Tidy has been helping to make our communities more beautiful places to live. The Tidy Tea Break is the perfect chance to support them in the work they do just by enjoying a cup of tea on our national holiday. I encourage everyone to take part.”
