Huw, Vaughan and Chris visit Llynfi Valley Health & Wellbeing Centre


Huw, Vaughan and Chris were shown around the Centre by Julie Jones the Centre Manager and local volunteer Michele Jones. Hartshorn House is a multi-agency hub partnership between Bridgend Council, G4S and the Welsh Government.

The Centre has been developed to house health and wellbeing services for the Maesteg community and surrounding areas. Services operating within Hartshorn House include help and support for substance misuse, domestic abuse, mental health and counselling services.

Huw said, “Hartshorn House offers important organisations such as WCADA, Dash, Shelter Cymru, Change Step and many more the opportunity to come into our community and provide a helping hand. Its thanks to Julie and the dedication and commitment of volunteers like Jane Lewis & Michele Jones that the Centre is such a success.”

Julie said, “ We have been facilitating services to the community at Hartshorn House for 4 years since its conversion from a derelict floor of an old department store, and we are pleased that the Centre and its staff has built a strong reputation for attracting services to work in partnership in the Llynfi Valley and Maesteg to benefit the community”.

Hartshorn House is open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00. If you would like to make an appointment with any of the organisations who use the Centre please contact them directly.
