Huw pops in to see progress on Maesteg Town Hall Refurbishment

Ogmore MS Huw Irranca-Davies was invited along to see the progress being made on the refurbishment of the Maesteg Town Hall.

Following the visit Huw said: "The multi-million pound redevelopment of Maesteg Town Hall is progressing really well.

It was a pleasure today to don hard hats and steel toe-capped boots today with Chris Elmore MP and council leader Huw David, see the work from top to bottom, and speak to the architects and contractors on site.

This grand old building is being made good and sound for another century, and having lots of new facilities added too.

This is a great project made possible by Welsh Government and EU structural funding and local authority support, and a great project proposal and management going forward by Richard and his team at Awen.

This is a flagship project for the town and the whole county borough, and it’s a delight to see it being made ready to welcome new generations of audiences for years to come."
