Have Your Say – Feedback Workshops Looking at IPFR in Wales

The NHS Wales Individual Patient Funding Request (IPFR) process is used by all health boards across Wales to make a decision at an individual patient level, on access to a treatment not routinely available.

The Welsh Government are currently undergoing a review of the IPFR in Wales and have set up a series of workshops where people affected by this process can contribute and feedback their thoughts and suggestions to the Review Group Panel.

Huw encourages people to take up this offer by saying “This will provide an opportunity for people affected by IPFR to listen to patient groups, clinicians, healthcare professions, IPFR panel chairs and local health board officials who are keen to hear from patients, their carers and relatives. Your views are valuable to this review and hopefully feedback received from the workshops can go some way to us seeing big improvements in people accessing pioneering medicines”.
