Evanstown and Gilfach Goch Fun Runners On Fine Form
Ogmore AM Huw Irranca-Davies and MP Chris Elmore have congratulated the participants of the annual Evanstown and Gilfach Goch community fun run.
Runners braved slightly inclement weather to complete this year’s course around Evanstown and were cheered across the finish line by local residents, members of the Gilfach Goch Community Council and the Ogmore AM and MP.
Gilfach Goch Community Council assemble a team of budding volunteers every year to staff the event which is always well attended by families from the surrounding areas.
Chris Elmore MP said: “The Evanstown and Gilfach Goch Fun Run is an event I really look forward to every year. It’s really fantastic to see so many young people out with their families enjoying this brilliant local event again this year.
“Many thanks to Gilfach Goch Community Council and all of the volunteers for making this year’s fun run the most successful yet.”
Huw Irranca-Davies AM said: “It was a pleasure setting the children off at Evanstown and Gilfach Goch’s 32nd Annual Fun Run. Always a great event, it was lovely to see some of the parents taking part with their children too – it really is an annual event for all the family!
“A huge thank you to Gilfach Goch Community Council and everyone who has been involved in organising this again this year.”
