It was quite a day when Prince Charles came to visit Coedcae Services near Rhiwceiliog, to see the work of the local woodland management company which recently won the Prime Cymru Green Business Award. The owner David Marchant showed the visitors the range of operations which include production of biomass for green-energy boilers, finished timber products for sale, and of course woodland management services.
Huw Irranca-Davies AM said “I am delighted for David and Coedcae Services that his success as a green business has been recognised with a prestigious award this year, which has been topped off by this royal visit. Prince Charles was clearly impressed by the way this business works with nature to deliver environmental benefits and jobs, and also helps sustain the local economy.”
